Benteke, delantero y capitán del equipo salio lesionado a los 20 minutos del encuentro. Y el portero Luis Barraza estuvo a la altura del partido dejando varias paradas y siendo el MVP del partido.
Con este empate el D. C. United se queda con 13 puntos y NYFC con 18 puntos. El DC United juega con el Nashville este sábado.

DC United logra 3 puntos en casa al ganarle por 2 a 1 al Sporting Kansas City.

DC United empata en su debut de temporada 2025 ante el Toronto FC en el Audi Field por la primera fecha de la MLS 2025 .
El equipo capitalino abrio el marcador muy temprano, Boris Enow seria el encargado de marcar el primero al 8', el Toronto por su parte haria lo suyo en conseguir el empate y Jonathan Osorio seria el encargado al 27' pero la alegria no les duraria mucho ya que el actual ganador del botin de oro Christian Benteke le daria la ventaja al DC United al anotar tremendo golazo de cabeza al 35' con asistencia de J. Murrel.
Con el marcador a favor el United se iria al descanso. El segundo tiempo seria a favor del DC United.
Con un penal bien ejecutado por parte de F. Bernardeschi llegaria el empate por parte del Toronto FC. El marcador final seria 2-2 y asi el Toronto se llevaria un punto de oro al conseguir empatar el juego.
El equipo capitalino logra su primer punto en un debut muy esperado por todos sus fans, el proximo juego del DC United sera el sabado 1ro de marzo en Chicago.
DC United regresara al Audi Field el 8 de marzo para jugar contra el Kansas City.

D.C. United has signed former CF Montreal midfielder Rida Zouhir as a free agent. The midfielder signed a one-year contract through 2025 with options in 2026 and 2027.
“Rida has been on trial with the team throughout preseason and earned this contract ahead of the 2025 season,” Ally Mackay, D.C. United General Manager and Chief Soccer Officer, said. "He has a good amount of MLS experience at just 21 years old and we believe he will add important depth to our midfield. We’re excited to welcome him officially to the team.”
In 2024, Zouhir made nine appearances for CF Montreal across all competitions before signing on loan with Birmingham Legion FC in the United Soccer League Championship in August. Zouhir scored two goals in ten appearances for Birmingham during his loan stint. At the conclusion of the season, CF Montreal did not pick up his contract option and Zouhir became a free agent.
Zouhir joins the Black-and-Red after spending the previous four seasons with CF Montreal. The 21-year-old signed his first professional contract as a Homegrown player for Montreal on Dec. 4, 2020. Zouhir made his professional debut as a 75th-minute substitute against D.C. United on Aug. 8, 2021. He made his first MLS start on March 12, 2022, against New York City FC. In four seasons with Montreal, Zouhir made 27 appearances across all competitions, amassing 995 minutes.
For the 2023 season, Zouhir was loaned to San Antonio FC in the USL Championship on April 23, 2023. In San Antonio, Zouhir had a breakout season, scoring eight goals and recording four assists in 25 appearances.
Zouhir, who was born in Montreal, Canada with Moroccan descent, spent time with both the Canadian and Moroccan Under-20 National Teams. In March 2022, Zouhir was named to the Moroccan U-20 team and made his first appearance against Romania in a 2-2 draw on March 29, 2022. In June 2022, Zouhir was called up to the Canadian U-20 team for the 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship where he appeared in all three group stage matches, as well as the team's Round of 16 match.
Turner becomes the 21st Homegrown signing in club history
D.C. United has signed Academy midfielder Gavin Turner as a Homegrown player through 2027 with options in 2028 and 2029. Turner becomes the 21st Homegrown signing in club history.
“Gavin is a young talent who has ascended through the ranks of the D.C. United Academy,” said Ally Mackay, D.C. United General Manager and Chief Soccer Officer. “He has a high ceiling for development and has shown exceptional soccer IQ in first team training sessions. This is another testament to the Academy and the abundance of talent in the DMV area. We are excited to welcome Gavin to the first team.”
Turner joined the D.C. United Academy U-12 team in Fall 2017 before signing an Academy contract with Loudoun United FC in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship in 2022 as a 15-year-old. The midfielder would make his professional debut on June 8, 2022, as an 89th minute substitute in a 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls II. Turner would appear in a total of eight matches, including two starts for Loudoun United in 2022. He would record his first professional assist on May 7, 2024, in a 2-1 fourth round Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match against Orange County SC. Since making his debut, Turner has appeared in 18 matches for Loudoun United, recording one assist with over 508 minutes played including two Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches. This past 2024 season, Turner was selected to the MLS NEXT All-Star Game as one of the top 44 prospects in the country.
The 18-year-old Virginia native has represented the United States Youth National Team at the U-15 and U-16 levels, appearing in five matches and scoring one goal.
The D.C. United Academy remains one of the most successful youth systems for developing soccer players in the United States producing 21 Homegrown players since 2009. D.C. United has produced elite youth talent such as Kevin Paredes, Matai Akinmboni, Andy Najar, and Donovan Pines. As a leader in youth development, the Black-and-Red ranked second in MLS in the 2024 season for minutes given to U-22 players with 8,581 minutes and appearances given to U-22 players.
Enero 28, 2025 .- The Black-and-Red has won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup three times in club history. D.C. United captured its first cup title in the inaugural MLS season in 1996 after beating the Rochester Rhinos 3-0 with goals from Raul Diaz Arce, Eddie Pope, and Jaime Moreno. In 2008, D.C. United hoisted the domestic trophy once again when the club beat the Charleston Battery 2-1 with goals from Luciano Emilio and Fred. Most recently, the club captured its third cup championship in 2013 after a 1-0 against Real Salt Lake with the goal coming from Lewis Neal.

Enero 15, 2025 .- D.C. United has signed Australian National Team center back Kye Rowles from Heart of Midlothian FC “Hearts” in the Scottish Premier League, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC). The Black-and-Red have signed Rowles to a two-year contract through 2026 with an option in 2027.
“We are getting a highly experienced center back in Kye [Rowles] and we’re looking forward to integrating him with the team ahead of the start of preseason,” Ally Mackay, D.C. United General Manager and Chief Soccer Officer, said. “He has played the last three seasons in the Scottish Premiership and has been a pillar for the Australian National Team since 2022. Kye is a leader on the field who has good defensive instincts and the ability to play out from the back. We believe he will fit in well to Troy’s system and we’re excited to welcome him to the District.”
